Art3_County_FY17_BikePed_WalkBikeSB_Ext_20102910/29/2020 Mark Friis Safe Routes to School Coordinator County of San Bernardino Department of Public Health 172 West 3rd Street, 6th Floor San Bernardino, CA, 92415 RE: FY17/18 Walk and Bike San Bernardino TDA Article 3 Award – Extension Dear Mr. Friis: This letter serves as a response granting the County of San Bernardino, Department of Public Health’s October 29, 2020 request to extend the deadline to complete the San Bernardino County Transportation Authority (SBCTA) Board of Directors approved Transportation Development Act (TDA) Article 3 grant funded project as outlined below. Project Type Bicycle/Pedestrian Allocation Number L18-0702-0754-01 Project Description Walk and Bike San Bernardino TDA Article 3 Award $320,000.00 Local Match $80,000.00 Local Share 4% ATP Share (if applicable) $1,600,000.00 Total Project Cost $2,000,000.00 Original Deadline 10/04/2019 Revised Deadline 10/04/2021 Extension Number* 2 *As long as the project is progressing, SBCTA staff has the authority to grant two one year extensions. Additional extension(s) must be approved by the SBCTA Board. As a friendly reminder, the TDA Article 3 grant award is paid through a reimbursement process upon project completion or through progress payments for awards over $200,000. It is required that a TDA claim form and supporting documentation of project completion or progress are submitted to SBCTA prior to disbursement of funds. The TDA Article 3 grant award is for a maximum reimbursable amount. Should your project exceed the maximum reimbursable amount, SBCTA will not provide any additional reimbursement. For projects completed under the awarded amount, SBCTA will reimburse your agency for the TDA Article 3 share of the project using the match percentage identified above and in your grant application. Please also keep in mind that staff expenses may not be used to fulfill the local match requirement. Upon project completion, please contact me for the TDA Claim Form and filing instructions.
