Class 3 Bike lane will be installed on areas with restricted right of way such as 1-10 freeway and Railroad underpasses. Green paint marking/striping will be installed on conflict areas between bike and motor vehicles. On the result of the General Survey of the ATP, 26% of 159 respondents indicated support potential use that 26% uses bike as mode of transportation. On the same survey, 60% indicated of the bicycle or sidewalk facility that they are very concern about biking as mode of transportation. On the survey for employees on the ATP, 13% walk or bike to school daily.43% indicated that the main reason for not biking/walking to work are lack of bike/ped facilities. Providing this improvement will encourage and support potential use of bike as mode of transportation. See attached ATP Survey. Describe how project The project will provide continuous Class II bikelane to Colton Ave. Class I Bikelane is situated in the regional system. Explain how this project is consistent with a Regional Transportation Plan orSBCTA's Countywide Active Transportation Plan, if applicable. to the Santa Ana River Trail (SART) staging area located on the south side of Santa Ana River. Bikers and hikers use SART staging area as parking and rest area to access the County of San Bernadina maintained Santa Ana River regional biketrail (see attached Project Map). The proposed project is part and consistent with SBCTA's Regional Active Transportation Plan. La Cadena Bridge will be replaced, the project scopes include installation of Class II buffered bikelane.
