Art3_BigBear_FY17_BikePed_AlpinePedalPath_Reso_CLOSED RESOLUTION NO. 2022-57 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING STAFF TO FILE CLAIM FORMS AND SUBMIT REIMBURSEMENT REQUESTS FOR TDA FUNDING ASSOCIATED WITH THE ALPINE PEDAL PATH RATHBUN CREEK EXTENSION PROJECT WHEREAS, the Transportation Development Act (TDA) provides funding for the development and support of public transportation needs that exist in California and are allocated to each county based on population, taxable sales and transit performance; and WHEREAS, the San Bernardino County Transportation Authority (SBCTA) administers the TDA funds for a wide variety of transportation programs in San Bernardino County, including planning and program activities, pedestrian and bicycle facilities, community transit services, public transportation, and bus and rail projects; and WHEREAS, SBCTA has awarded to the City of Big Bear Lake TDA Article 3 grant funds for the development of the Alpine Pedal Path Rathbun Creek Extension Project in the City of Big Bear Lake; and WHEREAS, the SBCTA requires submittal of claims for TDA Article 3 funds be first authorized by the City Council; and WHEREAS, the Alpine Pedal Path Rathbun Creek Extension Project, which was completed in October 2021, utilized approximately $175,000 in TDA Article 3 Funds. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council that: 1. Staff is authorized to submit a claim for TDA Article 3 Funds for the Alpine Pedal Path Rathbun Creek Extension Project in the amount of $175,072. PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 6th day of June 2022.
