RE: City of Ontario G Street Bike/Ped Project Grant Time Extension
Dear Mr. Burden:
This letter serves as a response to the City of Ontario request to extend the period of time to complete the
G St Crosstown Bike Route project. The design portion of this project was awarded in 2014 under S-
1407-10 for $72,604. The construction was awarded in 2016 under S-1606-33 for $267,500. Currently
there is an unused balance of $51,969 for the 2014 award which had an expiration of June 30, 2016.
SBCTA concurs with the request to extend the period of both of these awards to complete the project. The
revised project completion date is December 31, 2018.
As a friendly reminder, the TDA Article 3 grant award is paid through a reimbursement process upon
completion of the project. It is required that a TDA claim form and supporting documentation of project
completion are submitted to SBCTA prior to disbursement of funds to the City of Ontario. The TDA
Article 3 grant award is for a maximum reimbursable amount. Should your project exceed the maximum
reimbursable amount, SBCTA will not provide any additional reimbursement. For projects completed
under the awarded amount, SBCTA will reimburse your agency for the TDA Article 3 share of the project
using the match percentage identified in your grant application. Lastly, t he receipt of TDA Article 3
funds requires an independent audit of the project.
When your project is complete please contact Vanessa Jezik, Transportation Programming Analyst, at
SBCTA for the TDA Claim Form and filing instructions. Vanessa can be reached at (909) 884-8276 or
vjezik@gosbcta.com. Should you need additional information regarding this matter, please contact
Cameron Brown, Senior Planner, at (909) 884-8276 or cbrown@gosbcta.com.
Sincerely,
Cameron Brown
