(5 points) The proposed improvements will serve approximately 9,946 residents (Census 2021) and connects to Edwin Rhodes Elementary School and Cypress Trails Park within the immediate vicinity. Improvements at the intersection of Edison Avenue and Cypress Avenue will provide ADA-compliant infrastructure, ensuring accessibility for individuals with disabilities and supporting long-term use by all residents from the adjacent residential community. 13. (5 points) The proposed ADA-compliant curb ramps and crosswalks at Edison Avenue and Cypress Avenue will enhance safety and accessibility while reducing conflicts between vehicles and non-motorized users. Filling the sidewalk gap along Edison Avenue will establish a continuous, safer route for pedestrians. Upgrading the existing Class II bike lanes to a Class I facility along Cypress Avenue from Edison Avenue to Schaefer Avenue will provide a safer option for bicyclists away from vehicular traffic. 14.B. However, with a new management team and increased staffing, a detailed schedule will be established for project delivery. City staff will conduct monthly reviews, and necessary adjustments will be made in a timely manner to ensure successful delivery with quality work, on time and as scoped. 19. What provisions does the agency have in place to ensure the facility will be properly maintained? (5 points) The agency will maintain the proposed facility per the Municipal Code, which defines responsibilities, schedules, and standards for routine maintenance to ensure long-term functionality, safety, and compliance.
