Project Need& Project Description
Purpose 1)Colton: RANCHO @ OLIVE EB NS; Route 19;4.2 daily ons&offs;24 daily
buses; Bench-$800
•The purchase of a bus bench will help this location by improving the experience of
riders waiting for the bus.This stop provides service to numerous residents living
within a 0.5-mile distance north,south,west,and,east of this stop location.A bench
at this location will enhance the public transit experience by offering riders a place to
rest and making the stop more visible.
2)Colton:VALLEY @ 10TH EB LAT; Route 1;4.2 daily ons&offs;45 daily buses;
Bench-$800
•The purchase of a bus bench will help this location by improving the experience of
riders waiting for the bus.This stop provides service to numerous residents living
within a 0.5-mile distance north of this stop location. North,east,and west of the
stop location are numerous retail locations including a Stater Bros.grocery store.A
bench at this location will enhance the public transit experience by offering riders a
place to rest and making the stop more visible.
3)Yucaipa:YUCAIPA BLVD @ OAK GLEN WB; FS; Route 19;4.1 daily ons&offs;
23 daily buses; Non-ad Shelter-$16,000
•The City of Yucaipa is constructing improvements funded in the 2021 round of
Article 3 funds,and then Omnitrans will be able to install a shelter once the
improvements are completed. Installation of a shelter will improve the waiting
environment at the bus stop for riders accessing retail opportunities including a bank
and a pharmacy and housing in the area surrounding the stop, by providing seating
and shade and making it more comfortable for users to use the stop in inclement
weather.
4)Highland: DEL ROSA @ 3RD NB FS; Route 15;3.6 daily ons&offs; 17 daily
buses; Bench-$800
•Installation of a bench will improve the waiting environment by providing seating at
the bus stop for riders accessing the housing,warehouse distribution jobs,and
Norton Air Force Base Musuem and Recreation Center within immediate proximity
of the bus stop.
5)Yucaipa: CALIFORNIA @ EUREKA SB FS; Route 319;3.6 daily ons&offs; 14
daily buses; Non-ad Shelter-$16,000
•Installation of a shelter will improve the waiting environment at the bus stop for
riders who live in the housing, including a mobile home park, in the area surrounding
the stop, by providing seating and shade and making it more comfortable for users
to use the stop in inclement weather.

•Installation of a shelter will improve the waiting environment at the bus stop,
providing seating and shade and making it more comfortable for users to use the
stop in inclement weather.This will help improve the transit experience for riders
accessing Yucaipa High School,skate park,and recreational trails immediately
adjacent to the stop,and retail opportunities in the area.
8)Colton: MERIDIAN @ VALLEY SB NS; Route 1;2.8 daily ons&offs;47 daily

•The purchase of a bus bench will help this location by improving the experience of
riders waiting for the bus.This stop provides service to numerous residents living
within a 0.5-mile distance north and east of this stop location. North,east,and west
of the stop location are numerous retail locations.Within a 0.5-mile distance north of
the stop location is the Arrowhead Regional Medical Center.A bench at this location
will enhance the public transit experience by offering riders a place to rest and
making the stop more visible.

•Installation of a bench will improve the waiting environment by providing seating at
the bus stop for riders who live in the housing in the area surrounding the stop.

buses; Non-ad Shelter-$16,000
•The City of Yucaipa will be constructing ADA improvements to enlarge the
concrete boarding area,and then Omnitrans will be able to install a shelter.
Installation of a shelter will improve the waiting environment at the bus stop,
providing seating and shade and making it more comfortable for users to use the
stop in inclement weather.This will help improve the transit experience for riders
accessing the senior center adjacent to the stop and nearby park and housing.

Article 3 funds, which are expected to be completed in July 2023.
Omnitrans completed the purchase and installation of shelters, benches,
and trash cans funded by 2019 Article 3. Omnitrans has a purchase in
process for shelters, benches, and trash cans, funded by 2021 Article 3
funds, which are expected to be installed by early 2024.
