Project Need& Project Description
Purpose 1)Ontario: MOUNTAIN @ PHILADEPHIA SB FS; Route 84;7 daily ons&offs; 15
daily buses; Bench-$800
•The purchase of a bench will help this location by creating a more comfortable
place for riders waiting for the bus. Riders at this location have nearby access to
Ontario Christian High School.Also,various restaurants and a Stater Bros are
located around this intersection. In addition,this stop provides service to numerous
residents living within a 0.5-mile distance around this stop location.A bench at this
location will offer students and riders in the area a place to rest as they wait as well
as improve stop visibility.
2)Ontario: FRANCIS @ HAVEN WB FS; Route 81;7 daily ons&offs; 17 daily
buses; Bench-$800
•Destinations within Walking Distance—The purchase of a bench will help this
location by creating a more comfortable place for riders waiting for the bus.This
stop is located near several warehouses and logistics offices(including FedEx, UPS
Ontario Ground Hub,and Lazboy Distribution).The Ontario East Metrolink station is
also 0.4-mile away.A bench at this location will offer workers and riders in the area
a place to rest as they wait while also improving stop visibility.
3)Highland:CHURCH @ JACKRABBIT SB FS; Route 15; 7 daily ons&offs; 17
daily buses; Bench-$800
•Installation of a bench will improve the waiting environment by providing seating at
the bus stop for riders accessing a Stater Brothers grocery store,an elementary
school,a bank,and housing in the area immediately surrounding the stop.
4)Montclair: RAMONA @ KINGSLEY NB; Route 88;6.9 daily ons&offs; 18 daily
buses; Shelter-$20,000
•The City of Montclair will be improving this location with a larger concrete ADA
boarding area,so Omnitrans will be able to install the bus shelter once the
improvements are completed.A shelter will provide seating,shade,and customer
information to improve the transit experience for riders who live in the housing
surrounding the bus stop.
5)Montclair: RAMONA @ HOWARD SB; Route 88;6.8 daily ons&offs; 17 daily
buses; Premium Shelter-$52,000
•The City of Montclair will be improving this location with a larger concrete ADA
boarding area as part of their roundabout project,so Omnitrans will be able to install
the premium bus shelter once the improvements are completed.A shelter will
provide seating,shade,and customer information to improve the transit experience
for riders who live in the housing surrounding the bus stop.
6)Colton:VALLEY @ 4TH WB NS; Route 1;6.7 daily ons&offs;47 daily buses;
Shelter-$20,000

•Installation of a bench will improve the waiting environment by providing seating at
the bus stop for riders accessing retail, restaurants,a hotel,and housing in the area
surrounding the stop.Omnitrans recently completed ADA improvements at this
location with funds from the 2015/2016 round of Article 3,which will allow installation
of the bench.
8)Ontario: MILLIKEN @ AIRPORT SB FS; Route 82;6.2 daily ons&offs; 16 daily
buses; Bench-$800
•The purchase of a bench will help this location by creating a more comfortable
place for riders waiting for the bus.This stop is located near several restaurants and
retail locations as well as a Goodwill Warehouse.A bench at this location will offer
workers and riders in the area a place to rest as they wait while also improving stop
visibility
9)Redlands: BROOKSIDE @ EUREKA WB FS; Route 19;6.2 daily ons&offs;24
daily buses; Non-ad Shelter-$16,000
•Installation of a shelter will improve the waiting environment at the bus stop for
riders accessing the nearby post office, newspaper office, pharmacy,and other retail
and housing surrounding the stop.The City of Redlands had made ADA
improvements funded by a prior round of Article 3 funds,so this stop now allows for
the installation of a shelter.
10)Rialto: MERRILL @ LILAC WB FS; Route 15;6.1 daily ons&offs; 16 daily
buses; non-ad Shelter-$16,000
•Installation of a shelter will improve the waiting environment at the bus stop for
riders accessing the nearby health care office,elementary school, businesses,and
housing, by providing seating and shade and making it more comfortable for users
to use the stop in inclement weather.

Article 3 funds, which are expected to be completed in July 2023.
Omnitrans completed the purchase and installation of shelters, benches,
and trash cans funded by 2019 Article 3. Omnitrans has a purchase in
process for shelters, benches, and trash cans, funded by 2021 Article 3
funds, which are expected to be installed by early 2024.
