Recommendation
Adopt Resolution 2022-87 of the Mayor and City Council of the City of San
Bernardino, California:
1. Accepting the Transportation Development Act (TDA), Article 3 Grant Funds, for
the Transit Stop Access Program in the amount of$50,800 with a Local Match of
$10,200 from Measure I funds (Fund 129) totaling $61,000; and
2. Authorizing the Director of Finance to amend the Fiscal Year 2021/22 Capital
Improvement Plan (CIP) to include the Citywide Bus Stop Improvements Project.

RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO, CALIFORNIA,
ACCEPTING THE TRANSPORTATION ACT GRANT
(TDA), ARTICLE 3 GRANT FUNDS, FOR THE TRANSIT
STOP ACCESS PROGRAM IN THE AMOUNT OF $50,800
WITH A LOCAL MATCH OF $10,200 FROM MEASURE I
FUNDS (FUND 129) TOTALING $61,000; AND
AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF FINANCE TO
AMEND THE FISCAL YEAR 2021/22 CAPITAL
IMPROVEMENT PLAN (CIP) TO INCLUDE THE
CITYWIDE BUS STOP IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT
WHEREAS, the Public Works Department of the City of San Bernardino is responsible
for maintaining improvements around bus stops; and
WHEREAS, on November 3, 2021, SBCTA Board of Directors approved funding from
the Transportation Development Act (TDA), Article 3 Transit Stop Access Program, for the
accessibility improvements for the City of San Bernardino Citywide Bus Stop Improvements
Project in an amount of$50,800 with a local match in the amount of$10,200 provided by the City;
and
WHEREAS, the Project will construct accessibility improvements at four bus stop
locations within the City of San Bernardino.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The above recitals are true and correct and are incorporated herein by this
reference.
SECTION 2. The Mayor and City Council hereby accept TDA Article 3 Transit Stop
Access Program Grant in the Amount of$50,800 for Citywide Bus Stop Improvements Project
("Project").
SECTION 3. The Mayor and City Council hereby authorize the Director of Finance to
amend the Fiscal Year 2021/2022 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) to include the Citywide Bus
Stop Improvements Project in a total project amount of$61,000.
SECTION 4.The Mayor and City Council hereby authorize the City Manager or designee
to execute all documents in support of the Project on behalf of the City.
SECTION 5. The Mayor and City Council hereby authorize the Director of Finance to
amend Program Year 2021/2022 Budget to allocate additional Measure I Funds to the Project, if
needed after bids have been received.

SECTION 6. The Mayor and City Council finds this Resolution is not subject to the
California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) in that the activity is covered by the general rule
that CEQA applies only to projects which have the potential for causing a significant effect on the
environment. Where it can be seen with certainty, as in this case, that there is no possibility that
the activity in question may have a significant effect on the environment,the activity is not subject
to CEQA.
SECTION 7. Severability. If any provision of this Resolution or the application thereof
to any person or circumstance is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or
applications, and to this end the provisions of this Resolution are declared to be severable.
SECTION 8. Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective immediately.
APPROVED and ADOPTED by the City Council and signed by the Mayor and attested
by the City Clerk this 4h day of May 2022.
