Art3_Rialto_FY19_Transit_Accessibility_RescindJune 29, 2023 Art Cervantes Engineering Manager, City of Rialto Via email: ACervantes@rialto.gov Subject: Notification of Transportation Development Act (TDA) Article3 Award Rescission – FY 2019/20 Accessibility Improvements Dear Mr. Cervantes: This letter serves as rescission notification of the City of Rialto’s TDA Article 3 fiscal year 2019/20 Transit Stop Access Improvements award in the amount of $14,432 for the “Accessibility Improvements – City of Rialto Bus Stops” project. Funding for this project expired on December 31, 2022. On May 3, 2023, the San Bernardino County Transportation Authority (SBCTA) Board of Directors approved policy updates that apply to all active awards aimed at ensuring projects are delivered in a timely manner consistent with award terms. “In order to ensure TDA Article 3 funding is kept moving, award funds will be rescinded if no progress has been made within one year of award notification or if a construction contract has not yet been awarded within three years of award notification. Applicants are welcome to reapply for future funding.” The City of Rialto has 30 days after receipt of this notification to appeal in writing to the SBCTA Deputy Executive Director, Carrie Schindler at cschindler@gosbcta.com. In order to successfully appeal this rescission, the City must be able to demonstrate progress by providing documentation of invoices paid, a copy of an executed contract for project construction, and a current project schedule. Please feel free to contact me with questions at 909-884-8276 or nstrickert@gosbcta.com.
