Subject: Omnitrans 2019 Article 3 Transit Stop Access Improvement Program funds
Dear Nancy,
Per the letter from Cameron Brown dated July 15, 2019, SBCTA awarded funds to Omnitrans
through the 2019 TDA Article 3 Transit Stop Access Improvement Program to install benches
and shelter at various locations in Omnitrans’ service area. Because of unforeseen circumstances,
Omnitrans would like to request to modify the awards slightly at two of the locations.
Funds were awarded for a shelter at Citrus @ Judson/Ford EB, Stop ID 6965, in Redlands. The
City of Redlands had planned to make accessibility improvements at this location which would
have allowed for the installation of the shelter by Omnitrans. But due to a funding shortage on
the City’s project, the City did not make these improvements at this location. (The change to the
City’s project was approved under separate cover by SBCTA). Thus, Omnitrans is not able to
install the shelter at this location and would like to change the shelter location to Barton @
Terracina EB, Stop ID 6951, also in the City of Redlands. No change is needed to the funding
amount.
Funds were also awarded for a shelter at Riverside @ Vineyard WB, Stop ID 8409, in the City of
Ontario. Omnitrans recently made routing changes which removed this bus stop from service.
Thus, Omnitrans would like to request to change this location for the shelter to Holt @ Imperial
EB, Stop ID 5818, also in the City of Ontario. No change is needed to the funding amount.
If any further information is needed, please feel free to contact me at anna.jaiswal@omnitrans.org
or (909) 379-7256. I look forward to your approval of my request.
Sincerely,
Anna Jaiswal
