Please refer to your Project ID above in any future communications about the project. PROJECT AREA STATISTICS PROJECT AREA MAP County:San Bernardino City:Chino Hills Total Population:6,222 Youth Population:1,285 Senior Population:562 Households Without Access to a Car:117 Number of People in Poverty:822 Median Household Income:$79,347 Per Capita Income:$28,755 Park Acres:13.23 Park Acres per 1,000 Residents:2.13 REPORT BACKGROUND The project statistics have been calculated based on half mile radius around the point location selected. Only park acres within the project area's half mile radius are reported. Population and people in poverty are calculated by determining the percent of any census block-groups that intersect with the project area. The project area is then assigned the sum of all the census block-group portions. An equal distribution in census block-groups is assumed. Rural areas are calculated at a census block level to improve results. Median household and per capita income are calculated as a weighted average of the census block- group values that fall within the project area. More information on the calculations is available on the methods page » Demographics—American Community Survey (ACS) 5- year estimates 2012-2016; Decennial 2010 Census; the margin of error (MOE) was not analyzed. Parks—California Protected Areas Database 2017a CFF adjusted (5/2018) - more information at http://www.CALands.org. Parks and park acres area based on best available source information but may not always contain exact boundaries or all parks in specific locations. Parks are defined further in the 2015 SCORP (pg. 4). Parents block Bird Farm Rd in both directions-people trying to get by have to go in on coming traffic 1611024 I would like to see one of these surveys for Chino Hills High School. I think there should be a pedestrian freeway bridge from Fairfield Ranch Community to the High School to lessen the increasing traffic in the area. This would help ease traffic at Chaparrals as well. 1611072 Our child would have to cross a freeway overpass crossing on-ramps to the freeway to get to school. Walking or biking alone in elementary school is probably not a option for that reason and distance 1611076 The City need to put safe sidewalks on our streets with street lights 1611157 I pick up my child from school walking, because traffic is really bad. I do not like my child to walk by himself because on the street that my walk on has no sidewalk, and cars pass through there. 1611158 I pick up my child from school walking, because traffic is really bad. I do not like my child to walk by himself because on the street that my walk on has no sidewalk, and cars pass through there. 1610992 I will never be okay for my child to walk to school 1611036 Walking to Chaparral is not at all possible from our neighborhood. It would probably take an hour which is not at all doable 1611070 All five issues checked above would be need to be changed before I allow my children to walk to school 1611143 I hope could be more safety education with kids. 1610842 Our city streets have become unsafe, especially now that there are homeless camps off Soquel Canyon Pkwy 1610844 Our City streets have become unsafe especially now that there are homeless camps off Soquel Canyon 1610846 Living on Yorba Ave, I am aware of a small homeless group that frequently walks this street. Additionally, there is a traffic concern (speeders) down this street. Recently, the City Council approved & installed more signage to stop traffic in this residential area. Some improvement noted. 1611078 I am not comfortable allowing my child to walk to/from school due to violence that can happen out of my control. 1610883 Walking to school is not an option as we live across the freeway. My children will never walk to/from school 1610888 We are on inter district transfer.
