RE: 2017/18 Bear Valley Rd/Hesperia Rd Transit Stop – Extension Request
Dear Ms. Goff:
This letter serves as a response to the Victor Valley Transit Authority’s request to extend the deadline to
complete a transit stop project for the Transportation Development Act (TDA) Article 3. In Fiscal Year
2017/18, the San Bernardino County Transportation Authority (SBCTA) Board of Directors approved
grant awards to the Bear Valley – Hesperia Rd project in the amount of $87,000. SBCTA concurs with
the request to extend the deadline for the project. The deadline is now set for December 31, 2020 to allow
for completion of the project and reimbursement of the TDA share of the project cost.
As a friendly reminder, the TDA Article 3 grant award is paid through a reimbursement process upon
completion of the project. It is required that a TDA claim form and supporting documentation of project
completion are submitted to SBCTA prior to disbursement of funds to the Victor Valley Transit
Authority. The TDA Article 3 grant award is for a maximum reimbursable amount with a 34.8% local
match requirement set forth in the initial project application. Should your project cost exceed the
maximum reimbursable amount, SBCTA will not provide any additional reimbursement. For projects
completed under the awarded amount, SBCTA will reimburse your agency for the TDA Article 3 share of
the project using the local match percentage.
