In Fiscal Year 2016/17, the San Bernardino County Transportation Authority (SBCTA) Board of Directors approved grant awards from the Transportation Development Act (TDA) Article 3 Transit Access Program. The project was awarded $216,000 with a project completion date of October 4, 2019. SBCTA concurs with the request to extend the period of time to complete the project. The revised project completion date is December 31, 2020. It has also been requested for SBCTA to amend the scope at the Barton at Town Square stop to allow this stop’s funding of $20,000 to be used toward a premium bus shelter estimated at $37,000. SBCTA concurs with this request to allow the funding to be applied for this purpose with the understanding that Omnitrans will be paying the remaining costs of the shelter not covered in the project award. As a friendly reminder, the TDA Article 3 grant award is paid through a reimbursement process upon completion of the project. It is required that a TDA claim form and supporting documentation of project completion are submitted to SBCTA prior to disbursement of funds to Omnitrans. The TDA Article 3 grant award is for a maximum reimbursable amount. Should your project exceed the maximum reimbursable amount, SBCTA will not provide any additional reimbursement. For projects completed under the awarded amount, SBCTA will reimburse your agency for the TDA Article 3 share of the project using the match percentage identified in your grant application. When your project is complete please contact Nancy Strickert, Transportation Programming Analyst, at SBCTA for the TDA Claim Form and filing instructions. Nancy can be reached at (909) 884-8276 or nstrickert@gosbcta.com. Should you need additional information regarding this matter, please contact Cameron Brown, Senior Planner, at (909) 884-8276 or cbrown@gosbcta.com. Sincerely, Cameron Brown Cc: Nancy Strickert, SBCTA
