RE: City of Big Bear Lake Stanfield Connectivity Project - Grant Time Extension
Dear Mr. Harris:
This letter serves as a response to the City of Big Bear Lake request to extend the period of time to
complete the Stanfield Cutoff Connectivity project. On April 6, 2016 and October 16, 2017, the
San Bernardino County Transportation Authority (SBCTA) Board of Directors approved grant awards
from the Transportation Development Act (TDA) Article 3 Bicycle and Pedestrian Facility Program. The
project was awarded $325,000 in 2016 and $322,000 in 2017 with a project completion date of December
31, 2019. SBCTA concurs with the request to extend the period of time to complete the project. The
revised project completion date is December 31, 2020.
As a friendly reminder, the TDA Article 3 grant award is paid through a reimbursement process upon
completion of the project. It is required that a TDA claim form and supporting documentation of project
completion are submitted to SBCTA prior to disbursement of funds to the City of Big Bear Lake. The
TDA Article 3 grant award is for a maximum reimbursable amount. Should your project exceed the
maximum reimbursable amount, SBCTA will not provide any additional reimbursement. For projects
completed under the awarded amount, SBCTA will reimburse your agency for the TDA Article 3 share of
the project using the match percentage identified in your grant application. Lastly, the receipt of TDA
Article 3 funds requires an independent audit of the project.
When your project is complete please contact Vanessa Jezik, Transportation Programming Analyst, at
SBCTA for the TDA Claim Form and filing instructions. Vanessa can be reached at (909) 884-8276 or
vjezik@gosbcta.com. Should you need additional information regarding this matter, please contact
Cameron Brown, Senior Planner, at (909) 884-8276 or cbrown@gosbcta.com.
Sincerely,
Cameron Brown
