RE: 2013/14 Historic Uptown Pedestrian/Bicycle Improvements - Grant Time Extension
Dear Mr. Preciado:
This letter serves as a response to the City of Yucaipa’s request to extend the period of time to complete
bicycle/pedestrian projects for the Bicycle/Pedestrian Programs of Transportation Development Act
(TDA) Article 3. In Fiscal Year 2013/14, the San Bernardino County Transportation Authority (SBCTA)
Board of Directors approved grant awards to the Historic Uptown Bicycle/Pedestrian Project. The
Bike/Ped project was awarded $150,060. SBCTA concurs with the request to extend the period of time to
complete both the Bicycle/Pedestrian project. The revised project completion date for this project is
December 31, 2020.
As a friendly reminder, the TDA Article 3 grant award is paid through a reimbursement process upon
completion of the project. It is required that a TDA claim form and supporting documentation of project
completion are submitted to SBCTA prior to disbursement of funds to the City of Yucaipa. The TDA
Article 3 grant award is for a maximum reimbursable amount. Should your project exceed the maximum
reimbursable amount, SBCTA will not provide any additional reimbursement. For projects completed
under the awarded amount, SBCTA will reimburse your agency for the TDA Article 3 share of the project
using the match percentage identified in your grant applications.
Upon completion of the projects, please contact Vanessa Schoenewald, Transportation Programming
Analyst, at SBCTA for the TDA Claim Form and filing instructions for the Bicycle/Pedestrian project..
