RE: 2011/12 Yucca Valley Civic Center Ped Access – Scope Change Request
Dear Mr. Stueckle:
This letter serves as a response to the Town of Yucca Valley’s request to change the scope for an awarded
bicycle/pedestrian project for the Bicycle/Pedestrian Programs of Transportation Development Act (TDA)
Article 3. In Fiscal Year 2011/12, the San Bernardino County Transportation Authority (SBCTA) Board
of Directors approved grant awards to the Yucca Valley Civic Center Pedestrian Access Project. The
Bike/Ped project was awarded $91,000. SBCTA concurs with the request to change the scope of this
project to an adjacent pedestrian access project between the Yucca Valley Community Center and the
County’s Yucca Valley Branch Library. As part of this change, the revised project completion date for
this project is extended to December 31, 2021.
As a friendly reminder, the TDA Article 3 grant award is paid through a reimbursement process upon
completion of the project. It is required that a TDA claim form and supporting documentation of project
completion are submitted to SBCTA prior to disbursement of funds to the Town of Yucca Valley. The
TDA Article 3 grant award is for a maximum reimbursable amount. Should your project exceed the
maximum reimbursable amount, SBCTA will not provide any additional reimbursement. For projects
completed under the awarded amount, SBCTA will reimburse your agency for the TDA Article 3 share of
the project using the match percentage identified in your grant applications.
