In Fiscal Year 2017/18, the San Bernardino County Transportation Authority (SBCTA) Board of Directors approved grant awards to the Los Serranos Safe Routes to School Project and the Los Serranos Transit Access Project. These awards were $249,752 and $87,100 respectively. SBCTA concurs with the request to extend the period of time to complete the both projects. The revised project completion date for both projects is now December 31, 2021. As a friendly reminder, the TDA Article 3 grant award is paid through a reimbursement process upon completion of the project. It is required that a TDA claim form and supporting documentation of project completion are submitted to SBCTA prior to disbursement of funds to the City of Chino Hills. The TDA Article 3 grant award is for a maximum reimbursable amount. Should your project exceed the maximum reimbursable amount, SBCTA will not provide any additional reimbursement. For projects completed under the awarded amount, SBCTA will reimburse your agency for the TDA Article 3 share of the project using the match percentage identified in your grant applications. Upon completion of the projects, please contact Vanessa Schoenewald, Transportation Programming Analyst, at SBCTA for the TDA Claim Form and filing instructions for the Bicycle/Pedestrian project. Vanessa can be reached at (909) 884-8276 or vschoenewald@gosbcta.com. On the transit access project, please contract Nancy Strickert. Nancy can be reached at (909) 884-8276 or nstrickert@gosbcta.com. Should you need additional information regarding this matter, please contact Cameron Brown, Senior Planner, at (909) 884-8276 or cbrown@gosbcta.com.
